PersonalParty Privacy Policy
Effective Date: November 20, 2025. This Privacy Policy explains how PersonalParty (“we,” “us,” “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects your information when you use the PersonalParty apps, website, and related services.
1. Information We Collect
We collect specific types of data to provide our AI chat and persona features. This includes:
- User Content (Text & Images): Chat messages, persona definitions (names, bios, scenarios), and avatar images you upload.
Why we collect it: To generate relevant AI chat responses, maintain conversation history, and display your custom personas. - Account Information: Your display name, email address, and authentication tokens.
Why we collect it: To manage your account, sync your data across devices, and provide customer support. - Usage Data & Identifiers: Session IDs, device information, and interaction metrics.
Why we collect it: To monitor app performance, fix bugs, and improve the quality of our suggestions and features. - Purchase History: Subscription status and transaction records (processed via Apple/RevenueCat).
Why we collect it: To verify your premium access and manage entitlements.
2. Third-Party AI Services
We use trusted third-party AI providers to power our features. We share only the data necessary for them to perform their specific functions:
- OpenRouter (and underlying model providers): Receives chat history and persona context.
Purpose: To generate intelligent AI responses for your chats. - OpenAI Moderation: Receives text snippets.
Purpose: To detect and filter unsafe or harmful text content. - Google Cloud Vision: Receives avatar images.
Purpose: To verify that uploaded images comply with our safety guidelines (e.g., no explicit content).
No Training on Your Data: Our agreements with these providers strictly prohibit them from using your data to train or improve their AI models. Your data is used solely for runtime inference (generating the immediate response) and safety checks.
3. Data Retention
We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to provide the PersonalParty service:
- Account & Chat Data: Stored securely on our servers for the lifetime of your account so you can access your history. You can delete specific chats or your entire account at any time within the app.
- Transient Processing: Data sent to AI providers is transient and is not stored by them for training purposes.
4. When We Share Information
Beyond the AI providers listed above, we may share information with:
- Infrastructure vendors (e.g., Supabase) for hosting and database services.
- Payment processors (e.g., RevenueCat, Apple) to handle transactions.
- Law enforcement if legally required to comply with valid legal process.
We do not sell your personal data to advertisers or data brokers.
5. Your Rights & Choices
You have control over your data. You can:
- Access, correct, or delete your personal data directly within the app settings.
- Export your data by contacting support.
- Opt-out of marketing communications.

6. Children’s Privacy
